Some leagues have finished the season and apparently most bowlers are ready to be finished as well. Tyler Fields was the only bowler to attempt a reward score as he hit 11 but then settled for a 299 in Cowboys & Indians at Port Huron Lanes. Fields would still finish with a 732 streak, good for third place in the league. Nate Holmes won the “big boss” with a 757 streak, which topped all leagues this week.
Kristin Winkler led the women in the Don McIvor Memorial league as well as all but half a dozen men with her 660 streak that included games of 239 and 235. Heather Bombard threw a 638 streak at Saturday Nite Bridge. She had 239 and 223 games. Bombard was also strong in the McIvor league with a streak of 621 and 234 games.
Terry Crampton posted a 635 streak in Saturday Hustlers at the Colony Bowl. Jen Doher was right behind her in that house with a 634 in the Wednesday night league. Three others to top the 600 during the week were Sharon Pappas with 619 to lead the Ladies City league at St. Clair River Lanes, Doreen Melvin with 615 at Saturday Nite Bridge and Kelly Larsen at 603 in 3-B4-1 at Port Huron Lanes.
Carson Mills led Saturday Nite Bridge with a 751 series. He was followed by Ken Tyson Jr 739, Dennis Markel 737, Kris Brunelle 735, Dave Cox 732, Don Brunelle 731, Brian Roeske 727, Ryan Smith 727, Matt Pawlak 726 & 716, Scott Badley 721, Johnnie Angerbrandt 719, Mike Gossman 718, Jeff Krauss 718, Ed Crampton 717, Nick Medley 715, Tom Schmitt 714, Ed Martin 714, Matt Ban 714, Cody Hawks 712, Mike Marshall 712 and Jim Burns Jr 710 .
Other high sets for women were Peg Vanantwerp 599, Irene Simmons 589, Kristie Lashbrook 589, Makayla Schroeder 588, Jessica Heilig 585, Shawna Lentner 582, Krista Sharples 580, Jennifer Ojczyk 575 and Rosann Brachel 570.
Rob Blandino shot a 289 in the Monday Big 12 at St. Clair. Justin Badley threw a 286 in Cowboys & Indians. Other best matches were Mike Berube 279, Jeff Krauss 279, Cory Smith 279, Don Cooper III 279, Kris Brunelle 278, Jim Burns Jr 277, Brian Roeske 277, Bobby Ritchey 277 and Tyler Symon 276.
Kelly Larsen had the women’s best match of the week with a 246. Shawna Lentner was second with 244. The rest of the highest matches were Terry Crampton 238, Jackie Karl 237, Rosann Brachel 236, Becky Robinson 233, Doreen Melvin 231, Jessica Heilig 225, Kristie Lashbrook 224 and Brook Bauman 222.
Special mention: Jeff Krauss won the “Greek Church” division 4-6-7-9-10 in the 3-B4-1 league.
Upcoming tournaments: The Match Game Singles scratch tournament will take place at Port Huron Lanes on April 23-24, with five qualifying matches on Saturday and the top 10 advancing to the 10-match round robin final on Sunday.
