GOYans visit HCHC

The Archdiocesan District’s Long Island InterGOYA visited our beloved Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology May 13-15, 2022, Fenway Park, the Freedom Trail, and Faneuil Hall, ending their first day with a Boston Duck Tour! The group participated in the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Cross Chapel, received by His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nanzianzos, Director of the Department of Religious Education, Dr. Timothy Patitsas, Dean of Hellenic College, and Fr. Michael Kouremetis, chaplain. The visiting students were able to visit the magnificent HCHC campus and the Maliotis cultural center. Students and campus staff have shown great hospitality to visiting GOYAns as HCHC prepares for the start of next weekend. Visiting parishes from Long Island included St. Paul’s Cathedral, Hempstead, with their associate pastor, Rev. Fr. Constantin Ursache – Holy Trinity, Hicksville – Assumption Church, Port Jefferson – St. Markella, Wantagh – St. Paraskevi, Greenlawn – St. Nicholas, West Babylon, with their priest, Rev. Fr. Demetrios Kazakis.
