The latest award was for Best Dramatic Short Film at the Golden Nugget International Film Festival in UK, Bulgaria and Dubai.
Mr. Georgiadis put his passion into this second short film. He wrote the screenplay, directed it, starred in its cast, and was one of the producers.
“We had funds from the Swedish government, but it wasn’t a lot,” Georgiadis said. Neos Kosmos. In fact, the film was completed on the smallest of budgets.
“It was a very small budget, but I succeeded. I did everything online to promote it thanks to COVID and I submitted the festival fees and I was hoping to be one of the 50 or so films selected out of the thousands that are submitted to each of the festivals, ”he said. -he declares.
Garnering 27 awards in three months is a good comeback that says a lot about the film. He hopes to continue submitting it to festivals until the end of next European summer and hopes that it will then be picked up in streaming or on Youtube.
“For me, it’s about getting my work recognized and I hope to get enough funds to finance my next film which will be a feature film. I wrote the script and I hope to shoot it in Athens.
His first film, Whose Reality 2.0 in 2019, also performed well, winning among several awards the Breakthrough Performance Award at the New York International Film Festival.

Son of Greek parents who came from Thessaloniki to work in Sweden, Mr. Georgiadis and his older brother, Ilias, were born in Sweden.
“Sweden was a very welcoming country in the 1970s and 1980s. My parents worked there for many years, but returned to Greece after their retirement.
His father died in 2015 and his mother died last year after taking a COVID-19 vaccine and Mr Georgiadis traveled to Greece to follow the long process of settling his estate.
Mr Georgiadis, who also deals with troubled youth in Sweden, has also worked in the film industry since he went to study at Los Angeles Film School in the 1990s. He then worked as an assistant director on clips.
“I saw that I could do a better job and realized that I wanted to work alone. Four years ago I did it went very well.
The walk, which was filmed in the port city of Helsinborg, in southern Sweden, is a film that traces the fate of eight people as they appear on the city street. It’s a dramatic thriller with a touch of humor.
“The Promenade is a street of six different destinies that unfold in front of the camera. People are close to each other but don’t know each other. It’s about life captured on a walk and at a crossroads of realities, ”said Georgiadis.
“The film is a wake-up call that we are so preoccupied with our own issues that we need to realize that there are others who also have issues to deal with in their lives.”
